Cookies and privacy choices

Version 1.3 · Updated 25 September 2026 · GOEXPLORECAMPING LTD

What we use

Cookies store small records in a browser. Similar rules can cover local storage, pixels and other device-access technologies. An external script or map can also send connection information without setting a cookie. Go Explore uses essential technologies for requested services and offers separate choices for certain external features.

Google Analytics is optional and starts only after you choose Website analytics or Accept cookies. It measures public page visits and confirmed application and free claim outcomes. Advertising personalisation is disabled. The legacy forms visitor ID remains disabled. The former external certificate-badge script and automatic YouTube preload are also held back or removed. Optional Google maps, YouTube and Google form verification are off until you choose them.

Technologies and providers

Technology Purpose Duration and control
WordPress login cookies Support authentication and the requested logged-in session. Names can include wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_*. Session/test cookies and time-limited login cookies; selecting Remember Me extends the standard login period. Logout ends the active login.
ge_owner_landing Signed, short-lived routing after an owner logs in. Up to two minutes in the current source; cleared on use. HttpOnly, SameSite Lax and Secure over HTTPS.
ge_listing_session A random first-party identifier protects listing submission and prevents repeat requests from creating duplicate listings. It contains no name or email and is not used for advertising. Up to two hours. HttpOnly, SameSite Lax and Secure over HTTPS.
ge_privacy_choice Remembers the optional categories you selected, notice version and time. It is signed and does not contain your name or email. Up to 180 days. HttpOnly, SameSite Lax and Secure over HTTPS. Updated whenever you save a new choice.
Google Maps and Places Map display and map/location search. Google can receive connection information and searches and may store/read device information. Optional, controlled below. Google's storage and account settings determine any provider-cookie lifetime.
YouTube (Google) Plays embedded videos; the player can receive device information and use cookies. Optional, controlled below. Provider storage can persist beyond the video session according to Google's settings.
Google reCAPTCHA Helps protect certain forms from abuse and can process device information and cookies. Optional here, controlled below. Listing submission and editing work without it. Some other forms may offer this check; email assistance is available if you keep it off.
OpenStreetMap map tiles Supplies map images for relevant directory/account features and receives ordinary connection information with tile requests. Browser caching may apply. This is separate from Google maps; it does not give us permission to track your current location.
Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_*) Measures public page visits and confirmed applications and free listing claims after your Analytics choice. Google receives browser identifiers, device and connection information and the public page address. Account, administration and checkout screens, form answers and payment references are excluded. Advertising personalisation is off. Optional. Our tag sets a maximum 180-day cookie lifetime without extending it on each visit. Withdrawing Analytics stops future collection and removes Analytics cookies on this site, including earlier domain cookies.
ge-growth:* local storage Prevents a confirmed application or claim being counted repeatedly in Analytics. The local receipt key is not sent to Google. Used only with Analytics consent. Entries stop suppressing duplicates after 180 days; withdrawing Analytics removes them.
ge_application_receipt A signed, private reference keeps a completed application confirmation working after its payment-return reference is removed from the address bar. It does not grant account access or contain payment-card details. Essential for this confirmation, up to one hour, restricted to /site-notice/. HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite Lax.
ge_account_landing Signed routing to your account after you log in. Up to two minutes; cleared on use. HttpOnly, SameSite Lax and Secure over HTTPS.
Saved favourites (newco) Legacy favourite controls can remember the listing IDs you ask to save in this browser. Signed-in favourites are also associated with your account. Up to 30 days for the browser cookie. Remove favourites using the relevant control or clear the cookie in your browser.
Review reaction cookies Legacy review buttons can remember a helpful, interesting or similar reaction to avoid counting the same reaction again. Up to 30 days when you use a reaction button; names depend on the reaction and review.
PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) Legacy listing checkout routes can use a session to remember the selected listing. Ordinary browsing does not require this cookie. Session-based when that route is used; separate from our external payment provider.
Forms visitor ID (_wpfuuid) The former forms visitor-tracking identifier is disabled. Forms can still collect the information you deliberately submit. No new identifier is requested. An existing identifier is discarded by the site and a deletion cookie is sent on the next request.

Read Google's privacy information, Google's cookie information, Google reCAPTCHA information and OpenStreetMap's privacy policy for those providers' processing. A provider can have its own responsibilities for information it receives.

Your choices

Essential technologies support login, security and the choices you ask us to remember. Optional services, including Google Analytics, start off. Choose each purpose below.

We remember this selection in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days. Change it here at any time. Your choice applies as you browse. Saving does not reload or clear a form you are filling in. Withdrawing Analytics stops measurement immediately and removes its cookies on this site. Your browser can remove cookies held on a provider’s own domain.

How choices work

Choose Essential only or Accept cookies, or open Cookie settings. You may instead select individual purposes. Closing a page, scrolling or continuing to browse is not consent. Ordinary directory browsing, text search, listing submission and listing editing remain available when optional services are off. Some legacy online forms require Google verification; use [email protected] if you prefer assistance without it.

Your saved selection applies to this browser. Different browsers or devices need their own choice. You can return through Cookie settings in the footer at any time. A material new purpose or expired preference requires a new choice. Changes to Analytics apply immediately; other optional services also follow your choices as you browse. Saving your choices does not reload or clear a form you are completing. This cannot recall information already received by a provider or necessarily delete cookies on a provider's own domain.

Browser controls can delete or block stored cookies, though blocking essential login cookies may prevent sign-in. No account or marketing subscription is created by making a privacy choice. For a question or complaint, use [email protected] or the complaints route.
