Looking for a quite spot near York to wild camp, we were so grateful when Cotril Farm answered our call. We were greeted by a friendly welcoming voice who assured us that there was plenty of space available to accommodate us. After taking a wrong turn and giving ourselves a guided tour of the farm yard, we met Mike who warmly welcomed us, gave us a run down on the farm and kindly pointed to where we needed to be. The paddock was wide and open with plenty of space. The portable toilets were clean and made a very welcomed change to the Thetford loo in our van. Mike and his wife came and checked that we were settled and we were impressed by the reasonable fee. The views of the surrounding land ape was spectacular and we could almost hear the hills sing as the sun gently set. Definitely recommend a stay here.
